CASH CROPS/ GRAIN HANDLING
Smith Seven Star Farms plants winter wheat, field corn, soy bean and hay.
There is crop rotation after every season with applications of manure from the livestock on the farm.
The tractors are equipped with Auto-Steer GPS Systems for precision and efficient cropping.
Crops are custom combined then are either marketed off the field or sent to our own grain handling facility.
Once there the load can be put through our continuous flow Superb dryer which was installed in 2008.

FEED MILL
The Feed Mill and Grain handling systems were built in the summer of 2006.
The feed mill has a Farmatic Weigh on the Fly hammer mill.
The mill supplies all of the Smith Seven Star Farms swine barns, multiple swine contract barns and supplies the cattle feed.
All of the Seven Star corn grown is stored and ground for feed, corn is also bought in along with all the other ingredients needed to complete the feed rations. We work closely with nutritionists and feed specialists to ensure all rations optimize growth potential.
